Children, Growing In Faith At B-DRPC

Spiritual and religious development with children at B-DRPC is taken seriously. We seek to be a nurturing and creative environment for all ages. We have created safe standards for all our Ministry programs with children, ensuring adults who have met Safe Church requirements are part of their faith development.

Sunday School For Children

Sunday School for all ages meets from 9:45-10:45 each week. A new model for Children’s Sunday School debuted in the Fall of 2018.

Nursery Care

Nursery services are provided for infants through age 4 during Worship and Sunday School. You can be confident that your child(ren) are being attended to with the utmost care by persons who are professional in their ability and personal in their approach. Nursery care is also provided for special church services and other church events.

Children and Worship at B-DRPC

At B-DRPC we acknowledge the importance of children during our weekly worship time and welcome them as an integral part of our church family. Children of all ages are welcome in worship. We offer “Faith Sharing with Children” as part of our 11:00AM worship service, where children will hear the Message of the day in age appropriate language. As active participants in worship, Children experience worship through hymn singing, confessional prayers and the passing of the peace. Worship bags are available for each child as they enter the sanctuary.

Children’s Worship Bags

Children’s worship bags are available for all ages to use during the worship service. Included in the bags are crayons and a special worksheet that matches the scripture lesson for the day as well as cards containing the words to the Lord’s Prayer and the Apostles’ Creed.

Young Children’s Worship

After “Faith Sharing” at the 11:00 am worship service, children who are interested are invited to attend Young Children’s worship. A worship leader will meet them at the back of the sanctuary and lead them to their own worship space. Using the “Godly Play” philosophy, children will worship and interact with the Bible stories in a holistic and meaningful way. Each child is given a special blessing as they leave with their parents after worship.
