The tender age of 17 was when I first began to wrestle with God’s call to ministry. It was that call that led me to college Texas Christian University, seminary (Austin Presbyterian), and to pastorates in Texas and the North Carolina coast. In 2000, God called us to the beautiful forest we call Brevard, and it is my honor to serve as Pastor here. I enjoy hiking, and spending time with my wife, Debbie, and our daughters, Hannah and Hollis, and our dog, Max.
Director of Music
At 11 years old, I began serving as pianist at a small Baptist church in my hometown of Lincolnton, GA. Over the years, I began to realize that music was my calling – both sacred and classical. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2013 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology, I completed my Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD. Missing life in the southeast, I returned to Augusta, GA and began serving as the Organist and Music Assistant at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, as well as Pianist at Augusta University. In the fall of 2018, God called me to Brevard, NC. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, spending time with my two nephews and niece, catching up on the latest TV shows, and spoiling my tabby cat, Winston.
Preschool Director, B-DRPC
Hi, my name is Amanda Allison. I was born and raised here in Transylvania County. I am married to my wonderful husband; Mitch Allison and we have two beautiful children. I enjoy spending time with my family, going camping and making people smile. Since a young age I have been passionate about Early Childhood. My children attended this same Preschool when they were younger and almost 6 years ago, I was called to teach here. I am so grateful to now be the Director. I look forward to leading our faith-based Preschool to new and brighter adventures.
